The closer we traveled toward Sedona, the redder the rocks and dirt became. It was quite a sight for this black dirt Iowan! The sheer red cliffs toward around us, as we drove on that windy highway. We were so taken in that we pulled off on a little red dirt road that became the entrance to Red Rock State Park. Giant rock formations with names like Cathedral Rock and Thunder Mountain captivated us during that lovely afternoon drive.
