Caye Caulker is a Limestone Island about 5 miles by 1 mile. It is about 20 miles by water taxi from Belize City, and worth the ride. The sandy beach shoreline gives ways for views of the Caribbean Sea from almost everywhere you turn. Looking down one narrow street, you can see the other side of the island, and the sea. The split is a narrow waterway that separates the island in two. It is a great swimming spot to cool off after a time of exploring the friendly Belizean culture and deep heritage found all around the island.
